I was sitting there minding my own business at Fishbarn Pond watching a lovely Emperor Dragonfly ovipost her eggs, trying to get a shot and suddenly, out of no where (in my camera viewer) comes this Moorhen... eating my subject!! The nerve!!

Really enjoyed getting to see this guy hunting at eye level. He was hunting on Fairlight Glen flats and we sat at the top of Warren Glen :)

The one time I didnt take shots of the plant :S This was a small plant, I'd say spike flower sorta, em it had leaves but only on the lower sections (I think). Em all the flowers were on the south facing side of the stem. About 6ins tall. They were on the cliff top, near where all the thrift grown, so lots of sea loving cliffy plants up there. Update Found it, although my books says 'not on lime' its definitely growing on our lime cliffs here in hastings...hahaha
