I've no idea what plant this is, but it looks prehistoric to me :P Update this is Gunnera Manicata From the BBC Plant Finder: "Gunnera is one of the biggest and most spectacular, architectural, herbaceous plants, commonly thought of as 'giant rhubarb'."
