Damage from Hopper Nymphs

I noticed a lot of this happening this year where there has been loads of Cuckoo spits which is what the hopper nymphs stay in while they develope. It seems to cause hyper growth and especially hyper blooms on stems that would normally just have one flower head. Its happened to quite a few plants on the patio.
