Diese Baumart wurde ab 1576 von Konstantinopel (Istanbul) aus bei uns eingeführt.

Rosskastanie, auweia, wie peinlich- tausendmal an solchen vorbeigelaufen und nie die Rinde richtig angeguckt! Die Blätter, Blüten und Früchte lenken immer so ab;-)

Das geht mir genauso, die Krone von der Kastanie hat einfach viel zu bieten.
In unserem Baumprojekt bei Ip war gerade die Rinde an der Reihe.
Das hat mir die Idee gegeben.
