Common Bluetail (Ischnura elegans)

Common Bluetail Damselflies

Folder: Damselflies
Common Bluetails (Ishnura elegans) are, as the name suggests, widely seen. Interestingly the female comes in 3 colour forms called (rather unromantically types A, B and C) or (rather more romantically) "violacea", "infuscans" and "rufescens obsoleta" if mature (or just "rufescens" if it is immature).
