weed matted vegie garden

When we created the second vegie garden, we put our old carpet down to keep away the weeds on the paths. Stupid mistake. Weeds grew on top of it and into it, so when you tried to weed you got bits of rubber underlay and carpet stuck to the roots, which wasn't good for the compost or for the livestock to eat. I spent a LOT of time removing it all, and digging out all the knee-high weeds, and yesterday Eveliina helped me to cover the paths with weed mat. Yay!
