chooks in the vegie garden

The paths of the fenced vegie garden are lined with weed mat. We used to have bark chips on that, but weeds still grew on that (lushly!) so we removed the chips. Then it got too slippery in the rain. What to do? Today we bought some scoria to spread on it. We removed the fence for easier access, and the chooks saw their chance!
