I took this photo in 1986 with a Fujichrome 100 and a Minolta X700, scanned with a Nikon SuperCoolScan 5000 and postprocessed with Photoshop and Silver Efex Pro 2.
Concerning monochrome and Yosemite: Search for Ansel Adams in the internet and you will find a lot of beautiful monochrome photos by this famous artist, which he took in this National Park.

Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 739 m from the top of the upper fall to the base of the lower fall. The upper fall with its height of 440 m is formed by the swift waters of Yosemite Creek. Especially in April and here in May the falls are spectacular.

El Capitan, also known as El Cap, is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park. The granite monolith ahs an elevation of 2308 m and is about 914 m from base to summit along its tallest face. It's a popular objective for rock climbers.

Oakland Bay Bridge - 1986

The western part of Oakland Bay Bridge, which is called "Willie L. Brown Jr. Bridge (African American major of SF 1996–2004", total length 8.32 km, 5 lanes, opened 1936. This part of the bridge is connecting San Francisco with Yerba Buena Island. The East Span collapsed during the Loma-Pietra-Earthquake in 1989.
