Lake Powell - Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge National Monument is situated at Lake Powell, southern Utah. Rainbow Bridge is often described as the world's highest natural bridge. The span is described as 84 m, other sources as 71 m. At the top it is 13 m thick and 10 m wide and it has a height of 88m. The bridge is of cultural importance to a number of area Native American tribes. - We rented a boat from Hall's Crossing, which means a quit long trip on the lake, for which you need a good map and orientation. Only a drivers license was required to drive the 150 PS boat, quite an adventure, if you never had driven a motor boat before. There are some people under the left end of the arch for a feeling of size.
