Bear cache upon a tree stump to store game in a place where bears and wolverines could not access it. The bear cache was accessed by a ladder. Bear caches were built in connection with seasonal housing where people resides from spring to autumn. This is from Petsamo , Lappland, the 1800s. (Captured in the Seurasaari People's park, Helsinki ). ~~~~~ Bärensicherer Speicher auf einem Baumstumpf, um Jagdwild an einem Ort aufzubewahren, wo Bären und Vielfraße keinen Zugriff darauf haben. Der Zugang erfolgte über eine Leiter. Bärenverstecke wurden in Verbindung mit saisonalen Behausungen gebaut, in denen sich die Menschen von Frühjahr bis Herbst aufhielten. Der im Bild gezeigte Speicher ist aus Petsamo (Lappland) und etwas von 1800. (Aufgenommen im Seurasaari Volkskundemuseum, Helsinki .) ~~~~~
