Kitz Ski Calling

Although this oversized logo of the Kitzbühel ski resort (Tyrol, Austria) is rather difficult to take pictures of (back light, see PiP), the guests are queuing for selfies. And so the "KitzSki" brand is trumpeted a thousand times a day all over the world during the ski season. Name Dropping" could hardly be arranged more ingeniously and economically.

Obwohl dieses übergroße Logo des Kitzbüheler Skibebietes (Tirol, Österreich) für Fotoaufnahmen eher schwierig ist (Gegenlicht, siehe PiP), stehen die Gäste Schlange für Selfies. Und so wird die Marke "KitzSki" während der Skisaison täglich tausendfach in alle Welt hinausposaunt. Genialer und kostengünstiger kann "Name Dropping" kaum arrangiert werden.

No, it's just a documentation of what is. I waited for two weeks for fresh snow to fall, then took the first cable car up the mountain in the morning - but I was too late. The fresh snow was already a bit trampled by guests who were rather up from the other side.

By the way, a similar work of art is located in Yyterie, Finland. I photographed it there a year and a half ago:

Don't know about your part of this world, but over here companies that do home repairs; roofing, etc. always like to put a sign in the front yard advertising who is working there..

There never has been one - either in Florida where we lived or here in North Carolina ...

Mr. C waits for them to start getting the sign .. then asks, "How much discount do we get since that is advertising in our yard ?"

The sign goes back in the truck ...

Seit den letzten 60 bis 70 Jahren haben es die Österreicher immer besser verstanden, die Berge zu vermarkten – aber nicht nur die Österreicher. Eine Abbildung von dem Modell könnten sie eigentlich noch dauerhaft daneben stellen!
