Excellent shots and reminder of the risks. This year alone at Mt. Everest tells the tragic story. Maybe now too many people some lacking skills and others lacking the physical requirements for mountain climbing are trying?

The same big business happens on Mt. Everest as in Venice, Paris and elsewhere. There are too many tourists in this world. But I don't have a solution to the problem either.

There are many historical graves in this cemetery. At the time, when these people had an accident, there were still quite different risks than today. Above all, the weather was not so predictable.

Ich habe auf den wenigen Reisen in die Bergwelt Gedenktafeln an Abstürze an Ort und Stelle gesehen, die mich sehr berührt haben und mir die Tränen in die Augen trieben. Auf die Frage "warum" bekam ich keine Antwort. Als ich vor vielen Jahren Tennis spielte, starb ein Freund auf dem Tennisplatz an einem Herzschlag. Das Schicksal kann dich auch an einem harmlosen Platz ereilen....
