As Dangerous as Climbing!
I almost couldn't believe, what I read in the newspaper today:
From 6,776 activities of the Bavarian Alpine Rescue Service in 2015
- 3,244 concerned Skiing,
- 1,321 Hiking,
- 408 Mountain Biking,
- 372 Mountaineering,
- only 132 Climbing,
- but 124 Sledging! (Rodeln)
- 103 Paragliding,
- 972 Other reasons.
So avoid Skiing an Hiking, please!
It would lower the total amount of rescues to one third.
