The decision to close down must have been taken some time ago, yet subscriptions for new membership were still being accepted.
So far I've not found anything that comes close to Ipernity, and I'm certainly not going back to Flickr..
I'm wondering if there's any point in posting images/adding to groups any more...
Most of my earlier photos are on an irrecoverable crashed hard drive, so I just hope that they come up with a solution to download photos in bulk.

Ipernity... they lied to us... it wasnt about money... they just dont want it any more. Wish they had the guts to tell us that.

My gut feeling is your right Pam. They just want out.

I feel with all who actually used Ipernity to store their content:-( I only ever used it to share and meet other photographers and valued the community most of all. I hope we can find a site where the community spirit can live on!

For the time being I'll overwinter at F...r, though I never wanted to go there.

I have moved some of my photos to 23hq but will have to find a faster method if I'm going to save what I want from here.

Several members have expressed a wish to help or make suggestions as to how Ipernity could/can be saved.
Increase the fee , the use of ads, a group of us ran a competion over a period giving Club membership to free users, the cash came from our pockets and several happy winners for now at least enjoy more than they could in the past.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and thoughts on this subject. Sorry I've not been able to reply to everyone individually, but life has been getting in the way lately! :(

No reply yet to what's happening with regards the problems people are experiencing with the site today, but Team Ipernity have just published an article entitled The First Results for the Survey, which I'm guessing many of you will want to read! :)

Got a reply today to say that they are massively deleting old unused accounts (for cost reduction), which they say might generate some bugs.

Also, it seems that they've not been able to reproduce the bug, but have seen that it is a problem for many.

Furthermore, Team Ipernity have just posted an article regarding the non-display of images and icons. Not being all that technically minded it doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me, but I'm sure some of you will understand what they're saying and at least it shows they are making efforts to sort matters out.
