Aunt Elsa and Uncle Vicente TABORDA

Aunt Elsa and Uncle Vicente TABORDA
This old photo studio is astonishing: look at the almost mystic luminosity of my aunt, in contrast with the condescendence of my uncle's half-smile. Fantastic, don't you agree?

They look good together Armando and are a good looking couple. A lovely portrait and by the sound of it they had a good life, As for the smile, he is smiling and it reaches his eyes but I don't think men smiled naturally a lot in formal photos back then, - it is something to do with not being too comfortable with posing I think. (Not just confined to men though - I still look at a camera as an instrument of torture when I am on the other side of the lens to this day!!!!)

Have a good weekend

You're right, Carol! In my footnote comment, I stress "!the condescendence of my uncle's half-smile".
