REVOLUTION ODE

the french revolution
was the only one to push the world forward
--- sentencing those responsible for debauchery in the court
and misery of the people --- to death
by guillotine or hanging
the king and queen acolytes ministers lovers and other faithful vassals were gone
while a new social order was established
under the motto
--- freedom equality fraternity ---

the following communist revolutions
a little all over the world
served to reduce poverty
murdering the hungry
and redistributing the wealth of blessed people
by the voracious new party oligarchies
well entrenched and guarded
by secret polices

the portuguese revolution
was of no use
except for the achievement of broad freedoms
half a dozen of unwary pides(*) died
poverty increases every year
the external debt is eternal
and the country remains in the third word
with a few indicators of development in AI and high technologies
but empty beer crates
and plastic trash bins
remain piled up at the entrance
of luxury restaurants

ODE À REVOLUÇÃO

a revolução fancesa
foi a única que fez avançar o mundo
--- condenou os responsáveis pela devassidão na corte
e a miséria do povo --- à morte
na guilhotina ou por enforcamento
foram-se o rei e a rainha acólitos ministros amantres e outros fieis vassalos
enquanto se instituiu uma nova ordem social
sob o lema
--- liberdade igualdade fraternidade ---

as revolções comunistas que se seguiram
um pouco por todo o mundo
serviram para reduzir a miséria
assassinando os esfomeados
e redistribuindo a riqueza dos bem aventurados
pelas vorazes oligarquias do partido
bem entrincheiradas e guardadas
por polícias secretas

a revolução portuguesa
de nada serviu
a não ser pela conquista de amplas liberdades
morreram meia dúzia de incautos pides
a pobreza cresce todos os anos
a divida externa eterniza-se
e o país continua no terceiro mundo
com alguns indicadores de desenvolvimento na IA e altas tecnologias
mas as grades de cerveja vazias
e os caixotes de lixo de plástico
continuam empilhados à entrada
dos restaurantes de luxo
