DISCOVERING

six in the morning
nautical twilight
natural light isn't enough to read
but it's sufficient for starting the day's navigation
to meet God
and the rose
towards the bathroom
for the shower wash of my insomnia
or dreams I don't know the meaning
oracles that the breakfast helps to forget
right now it's a clear day
books remain unread
until the flower defoliation
and Christ gathering to the seamanship
even if only on the banners of religious orders
to our discovering in His name
of a still unknown
new world

DESCOBRIMENTO

seis horas da manhã
crepúsculo náutico
a luz natural não é suficiente para ler
mas chega para o início da navegação do dia
ao encontro de Deus
e da rosa
rumo à casa de banho
para o duche que me lava a insónia da noite
ou os sonhos de que não sei o significado
oráculos que o pequeno almoço ajuda a esquecer
agora sim é dia claro
os livros continuam por ler
até que a rosa desfolhe
e Cristo se junte à marinhagem
para em Seu nome descobrirmos
um ainda ignoto
novo mundo
