Der Ort *Castellucio* liegt etwa 28 km von Norcia entfernt, am Ende des Karst-Plateaus *Piano Grande* im Nationalpark Monti Sibillini, auf einer Höhe von 1.452m.
Viele Legenden, ranken sich um *Sibillinischne Berge*. Dies Hochplateau in einer einzigartigen Naturlandschaft übt einen unwiederstehlichen Zauber aus. In Castelluccio ist gutes Essen, und ganz besonders die berühmten Linsen angesagt.
Früher wurden Geschichten und Begebenheiten mit weißer Farbe an die Hauswände geschrieben. Einige Überbleibsel kann man heute noch sehen.

Isabel* I loved this landscape so much and in late spring when the lentils and peas etc. are blooming, it is a riot of colors in the 'Piano Grande'.
Maybe I'll be able to go there again this year !!!!!! ;-)

unfortunately there was a big earthquake four years ago and this old village, including the church high up, was almost completely destroyed.
