Above: Figure 7. Only a few frames were built with atypical lugs, including Berry’s 1953 display frame that featured fleurs-des-lis and fretwork. Its delicate, symmetrical, and nicely flowing lugs were a testimonial to the builder's skill (photo by Bob Hovey).
