Nachdem die Mitarbeiter 78 Jahre lang in den Egestorffschen Industriewerken Dampfloks sehr erfolgreich produziert hatten begann diese Hannoversche Maschinenbau-AG, HANOMAG im Jahre 1924 auf dem modernisierten Betriebsgelände mit der Bandmontage von Personenwagen.
