DR035 Mocis repanda (Striped Grass Looper)

Erebidae, Catocalinae - Wingspan: 55mm.

This large Mocis species is a pest on some grass crops. As the common name implies, the larvae could almost be placed in the Geometridae family, except that the false legs are a few more than those, and a slightly different configuration. A single individual came to the trap on 31st May.
