42 One of the Many Cicadas

There were a considerable number of this insect in the surrounding trees, periodically stridulating loudly all at the same time. Just one decided to visit the Moth Trap, and was found hanging on the outside. A touch and it quickly flew off to rejoin its friends to stridulate another day. Overall from head to the tip of its wings, this Cicada measured about 50mm.
