With his legs crossed and a thumb hooked in his vest, a man seated on a paper moon strikes a pensive mood as he looks off into the distance. See a cropped version of the photo for a close-up of the man.

This is an unused real photo postcard with a type of Cyko stamp box on the other side that suggests a possible date range of 1904 to the 1920s.

I love this! Whether in seriousness or for comic effect, this guy has pulled off a remarkably dignified pose under unusual conditions. He's a credit to the VPTP. That very vintage aircraft is an exceptional bonus. Do you think the image is manipulated?

Thanks, Deborah and Rick! Interestingly enough, a similar vintage airplane makes an appearance on another paper moon backdrop (below). The drawing is slightly different, however, so I'm not sure if it's the same studio.
