I love the way that, now matter how sunny the subject, the unintended shadows nearly always lend a sinister air to a picture. To me, anyway.
Great contrast here between good and innocence and lurking evil. : )

Thanks! I think you've hit the nail on the head. Shadows signify that others are there watching and lurking off-camera, and who knows what they're up to!
