There were thousands of these Heather Beetles ( Lochmaea suturalis ) on The Cliffe, Shropshire today.

There is a wet flush at about that point from the car park on the eastern side, could be there? If I remember right there is a wet flush about 200m along the all abilities path from the car park too. Another wet area is in front of the car park, cotton grass grows there too, so many places to look, so little time! I usually go up to the Stiperstones from either Snailbeach via The Hollies or the Bog car parks now.
