Studied at the Paris Conservatoire, with Mangin and Crosti. Debut in 1890 at the Opera House of Bordeaux in which she appeared among other things in the local premières of the operas ‘’Sapho’’ and ‘’Esclarmonde’’of J. Massenet. In 1894 she joined to the Opéra-Comique in Paris where she sang the role of Manon in "Manon" by. Massenet’s. . She sang on 24 .5. 1899 at the Opéra-Comique in the premiere of J. Massenet’s ‘’Cendrillon’’ in the role of fairy. ; Jules Massenet wrote the ‘Fabliau’ (as an alternative to the gavotte in Act 3) specifically for her to sing in Brussels. She appeared as Manon and Lakmé at Monte Carlo the following season, adding LES PÊCHEURS DE PERLES and GUILLAUME TELL a year later. At this time she sang under the name Bréjean-Gravière, later changing it upon her marriage to the composer Charles Silver, whose opera LA BELLE AU BOIS DORMANT provided her with another leading part.

After singing in Brussels in 1914, she made her début at the Opéra-comique on 13 February 1916 in “ Lakmé” by Delibes. She went on to create roles in Louis Aubert's La forêt bleue “ (Red Riding Hood )(French premiere), Graziella (title role), Marcel Samuel-Rousseau's” Le Hulla “ (Dilara), Raoul Laparra's “Le joueur de viole” (the young girl), Fauré's “Masques et Bergamasques” Charles-Henri Maréchal's “Ping-Sin” (title role) and Sylvio Lazzari's “Le sauteriot” (Orti).
Her repertoire at the Opéra-Comique also included Rosina (The Barber of Seville), Micaëla (Carmen), Olympia (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Melisande (Pelléas et Mélisande), Mireille, Rosenn (Le roi d'Ys), Minka (Le roi malgré lui) and Zaire (Les Indes galantes).[2]
Appeared at the Paris Opera in 1931 in the first performance of Virginie by Alfred Bruneau, later singing Sophie in “Der Rosenkavalier” and Rosine in “The Barber of Seville” (both in French). She also sang in Amsterdam, La Scala and in Spain and north Africa.
She retired in 1940 and devoted herself to teaching.

M. , Zurich , Brussels and in Oslo . Later she worked as a singing teacher in Munich .Roles included Chrysothemis in ‘’Elektra’’ by Strauss , Elsa in ‘’Lohengrin’’, Gutrune in "Götterdämmerung", Elisabeth and Venus in ‘’Tannhäuser’’ all by Wagner ,Tosca in “ Tosca” by Puccini and Aida in “Aida” by Verdi .

Her voice was noticed very early and she Made her first tour in America at the age of seven years and was a huge success. Studied singing in New York under the direction of Maurice Strakosch, her brother-in-law, and in 1859 she sang in New York in Lucia di Lammermoor. At Covent Garden theatre in London in 1861 where she sang la Sonnambula, her reputation was strengthened and in 1862 she was singing in Paris at the Théâtre Italien, where she soon became the star. She remained at Paris until 1870, being heard in London during the summer season. In Paris she sang the Italian Repertory, in London the french Repertory. After a long stay in America and London, Patti returned several times to Paris at the Opera (debut in 1874) and the Théâtre de la Gaîté. Then she resumed travels and successfully created, in London, in 1882, the Charles Lenepveu's Velléda. She also created Dolores of André Pollonais in Nice on February 22, 1897. She triumphed especially in a vast Italian repertoire that suited to her beautiful light soprano voice. His career lasted for fifty-six years

studied singing under her mother'( mezzo-soprano Emmy Achté (née Strömer) until 1894 when she entered the Paris Conservatory, studying under Edmond Duvernoy and Alfred Girodet. Her debut at the Paris Grand Opera was in 1897 as Margurite in "Faust" by Gounod .In 1904 she was engaged by the New York Metropolitan Opera where she remained until 1906 . In 1911, Ackté, Oskar Merikanto, and Edvard Fazer founded the Kotimainen Ooppera (renamed in 1914 Finnish Opera)and was to act as its director in 1938-39.
After parting ways with the National Opera, Ackté organized an international Savonlinna Opera Festival beginning on 3 July 1912;[9] it was held 1912-14, 1916 and 1930.1906. She created the title role of Richard Strauss's " Salome" at its local premieres in Leipzig (1907) and London (1910).She ended her international travels in 1914 and returned to Finland, where she gave her farewell performance in 1920. Her final public performances took place at the Savonlinna Opera Festival in 1930.

He also sang at monte Carlo , Warsaw , Helsinki,Berlin and Paris.His farewell was in 1933 at the Bolshoi he was at one time Director of the Bolshoi and later taught at Stanislvsky’s opera studio.
