Czech tenor

Studied singing under Franz Pivoda in Prague. Debut as Jeník in Bedřich Smetana’s The Bartered Bride at the opera house in Brno 1891. Joined opera house in Reval for the 1892-1893 season. He sang at the opera house in Aachen during the 1893-1894 season, notably appearing in the world premiere of Leo Blech's first opera, Aglaja.
