Studied with Marchesi , her career began at the Opera Comique in 1880 .Created the part of the Serving Maid in "Manon" Massenet 1884 . At the Opera Comique she sang Mignon , Manon , Ophelie , Philine ,Juliet & Lakme . She sang in operetta appearing in the first Paris productions of works by Strauss and Mollicker . From 1900 she gave up the stage for concert tours , which she took throughout Europe , USA , South America and the Orient.
