For Not the Sunday Challenge. I forgot that I took this photo of the tree from last week on an HDR setting. This one has about 5 exposures merged (this time using Paintshop Pro). For those who did not see the HDR in this week's cedar, I hope this one satiates your appetite for HDR. Remember, this was a night shot with the tree picking up light from an adjacent floodlight. The sky is illumined from the city lights and a big clear moon. The clouds emerge from the over-exposures in the set. 14mm (28 35mm equivalent) lens with fisheye attachment. Olympus M-1.

I was trying to take a portrait of my wife in her studio today and found myself having all kinds of problems with light, reflections, skin tone and clutter. While I was reorienting my camera my finger hit the touch screen and the shutter went off. I jokingly said at the time, this will be the best shot.

46" x 35" I was going to use this for the post Valentine's red project on TSC until I found another subject. This work was done by my wife when she was a student.

This tree is picking up light from an adjacent floodlight in a parking lot. This is one of the unprocessed night shots of the elm I used for the Sunday Challenge. SOOC.

The Sunday Challenge - Tree I have always needed a reason to photograph this tree at night so I thought I would finally get around to it for TSC. This tree stands on the grounds of an industrial business park. There is always an amber spotlight on it even though the light is designed to be used for security. I took several normal shots and then I decided to try a couple of the art filters built into my camera. This is the Dramatic Tone setting.
