Der Wurzelsepp mit Aschermittwochs Licht...

Wurzelschnitzerei ist eine besondere Art der alpenländischen Schnitzkunst.
Wurzeln und Schwemmhölzer sind dabei das Rohmaterial, das man findet in Bergbächen, Flußbetten und Seen.
Bei vielen sieht man sofort was man daraus schnitzen kann.
Andere liegen noch jahrelang, vor Regen und Sonne geschützt, zu Hause in einem trockenen Raum. Immer wieder beobachte der Schnitzer diese besonderen Holzstücke von allen Seiten bis er die darin verborgene Figur erkennt und dieser dann mittels seines Schnitzwerkzeuges an das Licht des Tages verhilft...

Der Sepp sieht so knorrig aus wie die Wurzel, aus der er geschnitzt ist! Er guckt ein bissle so, als ob er die letzten Tage zuviel Alaaf und Helau geschrieb hätte;-)
