Melkøya LNG processing plant lies on an island off Hammerfest and is the end point of a 168 km long pipeline from Snøhvit gas field in the Barents sea.

Das tun wir definitiv....Vielleicht kommt mein Heiz-Gas von dort? Obwohl ich den Verbrauch so stark reduziert habe, dass mein Versorger ein Foto des Zählers wollte, weil sie's nicht geglaubt haben;-)

Danke vielmals, Uwe! Die Anlage hier war wegen eines Brandes ausgerechnet zu Kriegsbeginn außer Betrieb, es waren alle erleichert, als sie produziert hat.

There is, or was, an LNG storage tank in Tananger near Stavanger. The tankers supplying it were nowhere near as large as this, Gudrun. It's good to know how prepared Norway is as far as energy storage is concerned. One of the ships is named 'Coral Methane'.

Thank you so much, Amelia! This was the largest LNG tanker I have ever seen, I guess because demand is up so much. In Germany Norway has replaced Russia as main gas supplier.
Our ship (Havila) also ran on LNG plus 4 battery packs, they bunkered in Bergen and Kirkenes.

Die Arctic Lady hat 4 Brüste :))) Glücklicherweise hat sie so eine tolle Farbe..das macht sich ausserordentlich gut in dieser Landschaft....das letzte PiP find ich besonders toll..die Wärme aus den Schornsteinen verzerrt den Hintergrund so charmant!
