Beautiful coastal scene (great series).

Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Als wir 2014 dort waren, hat es in Strömen geregnet und man hat leider gar nichts gesehen, deshalb war ich über das bessere Wetter dieses Jahr sehr froh:-)

The main image is fantastic Gudrun................a beautiful looking stretch of coastline, but with a slightly otherworldly look to it. The light and sky are lovely and the peaks in the background are really impressive................but I really like the rugged cliffs and rocks that run along the waters edge.............such amazing textures and colour. I also love the black lava beach and the wave action.

Three wonderful PiPs giving us superb details of some of the individual lava formations, some of which almost seem man-made (and look like rusty beams). Absolutely fascinating stuff.

Thank you so much, Keith! It's an utterly fascinating stretch of coast, there are even some stretches where you can see jasper and other semi precious stones in the cliffs. I could easily have spent hours exploring he beaches...

Mein Grossvater war anno 1966 auf einer Expedition in dieser Gegend! Damals noch ohne die Ringstrasse ...

Ich hoffe, dass ich eines Tages noch seine Dias von anno dazumal finde. (Dazu brauch ich aber viiiiiel Zeit, die ich aktuell nicht habe. Ich hoffe einfach, dass diese Aufnahmen im Laufe der Zeit nicht 'entsorgt' wurden.)

Besten Dank, Bueli! Oh, das muss damals noch ein echtes Abenteuer gewesen sein, diese Hänge sind ziemlich fies! Ich hoffe, die Dias sind noch da und du kommst in der Rente dann auch dazu, sie zu scannen, damit wir sie auch sehen können.
