Elbtunnel was opened in 1911 and connects Landungsbrücken with Steinwerder. It is 426m long and 24m below surface. Cars and carriages could cross under the river using special lifts.

Großartiger Schuss Gudrun. Perspektive, Licht und die Wahl von s/w finde ich perfekt. Das Motiv habe ich sofort erkannt. Es dürfte ca. 50 Jahre her sein, dass ich das erste Mal dort war.

Danke vielmals, Hubs! In Farbe gefiel mir's einfach nicht, egal welchen Weißabgleich ich probiert habe;-) Der Radfahrer war ein Glücksfall für das Foto.

In diesem Frühling wird die restaurierte Oströhre freigegeben (zum Hafengeburtstag), Gudrun, das habe ich von der "Hamburg Port Authority" erfahren. Ich bin im September durch die noch nicht restaurierte Weströhre gegangen und habe dort in Steinwerder diese herrliche Aussicht genossen (ich hoffe, dass du nichts gegen die Einfügung dieses Fotos hast):

Vilen Dank, Uli! Das werden wir zum Hamburg -Treffen dann gerade eben verpassen, aber 2020 wird sich sicher eine Gelegenheit ergeben:-) Die Aussicht von Steinwerder lohnt sich jedenfalls immer!

Ja, sorry, ich hatte das Einfügen von Fotos gesperrt wegen der Unsitte in manchen Gruppen, jedesmal ein meist furchtbares Gruppensymbol einzufügen
