Gullfoss

Gullfoss
At Gullfoss the river Hvítá descends from the highlands. The river has eroded away the sedimentary layers whereas the interspersed lava flows have withstood better and form the steps over which the water falls.

I have replaced the panorama with a new version where I have closed a few "holes" by cloning.
Made from 16 vertical shots in two rows. Canon EOS 6D, 24-105/4,0: F/8, 1/200, ISO 125

Ist laut und war vor allem nass! Ich habe noch eine zweite Version, ich glaube, die ist besser, weil der Horizont drauf ist, auch wenn dafür ein Stück rechts fehlt...

Das ist das, was man beeindruckende Natur nennt...klasse! Ich hoffe, die Kamera ist nicht so dolle "abgesoffen".
Da fällt mir ein, bei Gelegenheit musst Du mir mal diese "Bild im Bild- Funktion erklären, hab noch keinen Schimmer, wie das geht... ;o)

Vielen Dank, Iris! Weil's so nass war, bin ich nicht nach ganz vorne, wo die Leute stehen- da hätte ich die Kamera komplett evakuieren müssen...Liegt an der Windrichtung, da war's leider ungünstig und Sonne für einen Regenbogen gab es auch nicht...

Da ist es klasse erklärt! ich lade die eingefügten Bilder immer nur als privat hoch, dann sieht man sie im PiP, aber nicht in der Galerie.

Tausend Dank, Udo! Ich habe noch eine dritte Version produziert, ein bisschen Löcher geflickt- die ist eine Kombi aus beiden...
Der Wasserfall ist schon irre, allerdings war das auch ein Kulturschock- Menschenhorden nach Tagen in kaum besuchten Gegenden...

Thanks very much! The river runs along a fault line and after the falls there is a 2,5 km long gorge which would also have merited a visit. Maybe next time;-)

Danke, Dida! Ich werde wahrscheinlich noch eine dritte Version einstellen, ich habe ein bisschen herumgebastelt und wenn man nicht allzu genau schaut, fällt das Gestempelte nicht so sehr auf;-)

Ich habe jetzt eine dritte Version gebastelt, das Stempeln ist mit Lightroom nicht immer so einfach;-) Ich habe da zum ersten Mal ein doppelstöckiges Pano gemacht und hatte prompt an den Rändern ein paar Bilder zu wenig...

Thank you so much, George! Iceland's waterfalls are mostly fed by glaciers, so there's more water in summer. This one discharges ca. 130 m³/s, Dettifoss in the north has an average water flow of 193 m³/s!

Beim Pano musste ich hinterher ein bisschen nachhelfen, weil ich in den Ecken zu wenige Fotos gemacht hatte- grrr...

Besten Dank, Hubs! So im WInter würde ich den auch mal gerne sehen. Letzten Oktober waren die Farben zwar schön, aber es hat geregnet und hier war's eher grau...
Schade, dass Island so teuer und voll geworden ist:-(
