Desert / Ghost Town Trek #5

Sound end of town and part of the orginal drawbridge structure that would let boats pass.

To the south are bike trails from San Jose / Santa Clara area. You can probably get a glimpse of Drawbridge from the northernmost end of the trails.

Another sort of ghost town is New Chicago, at the very south rim of SF Bay by Alviso. Streets were laid out and plots sold, but somehow estimation of the water levels were wrong, and it became a tidal estuary.
