Storm swept Allonby.
North of Maryport & south of Silloth, on the Solway Firth - Allonby is a small former fishing village. A remote feel pervades the place, attracting Charles Dickens & Wilkie Collins as visitors. On the day we visited a sea mist hung over this atmospheric little town.
