Jamaica Inn.

A grade II listed building built in 1750 & made famous by Daphne du Maurier's novel. During a horse ride across Bodmin Moor, a thunder storm forced Daphne to shelter at the Inn & she was inspired by the atmosphere & stories she heard about the place....After her novel became a best seller, Daphne felt she was to blame for the commercialisation of Jamaica Inn, on her travels to her London publisher she never stopped there again, knowing the magic was lost.
