Berlin-Kreuzberg: Gedenken an Enver Şimşek

Oranienstraße, Nähe Görlitzer Bahnhof: Riesengroß prangt das Bildnis des von Neonazis ermordeten Enver Şimşek an einer Hausmauer. Viel Zustimmung zu der Botschaft, Touristen und Einheimische drängeln sich, um Fotos zu machen.
Hintergrund: Die Nazitruppe NSU ermordete in den Jahren 2000 bis 2006 mehrere Mitbürger ausländischer Herkunft. Derzeit läuft gegen eines ihrer Mitglieder ein Prozess in München.

Oranienstraße, near station Goerlitzer Bahnhof: This over-lifesize picture of Enver Şimşek, murdered by Nazi terrorists in Nuremberg in Sept 2000, is looking down on inhabitants and tourists, who appreciate this mural and queue to take pictures. The inscription reads:
"Murdered by NSU; and still: State support of Nazi terrorism. Racism kills".
