Nikon D2Xs + Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 AI lens. 135mm translates to a field of view of 270mm on a crop sensor DX camera. This picture of laundry in a cupboard was made in poor light, as can plainly be seen from the totally dark recesses. I was forced into an ISO of 800 which whilst possible with the D2Xs, is not to be recommended from a noise point of view. Even using the lens wide open I had to reduce the shutter to a speed of 1/160th when half that would have been more sensible for a hand-held shot. I rather enjoy pushing the limits, but there is a high wastage rate. Attempting low-light photography with a dinosaur like the D2Xs demands really fast lenses, Two more stops would have been helpful here.
