The Doors


The seemingly inexorable decline of these doors is a subject of morbid fascination. People pass by hundreds of times daily noticing to varying degrees the ineffable beauty of their final days, wondering if some human intervention will change the scene for better or worse. Meanwhile, I am compelled by forces I do not understand to record the changes, tiny though they be.
