I used a Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro camera with a Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens to make this photograph, assisted by a Minolta Close-Up Lens No.1, dating from the Minolta SR days. Minolta made three of these close-up lenses: No.0 (+1 dioptre); No.1 (+2); and No.2 (+4). They’re high-quality two-element (doublet), achromatic lenses, like Nikon ‘T’ series or Canon ‘D’ series supplementary lenses. They screw on to your camera like filters, and increase close-up and macro capabilities.
