UI 13.8kV - Hamden, CT


Quite a few of these early chicken-wing bracket poles scattered across United Illuminated. Probably dates the late 1960's or early 1970's. The spool bracket looks like a recent replacement.
Also, it's worth noting UI changed nearly ALL of their street lights a few years back to the ones shown here, which I think are generic(!) looking to say the least since I've seen them all across many utilities as the replacements, which I think is like the equivalent to cookie-cutter housing development of street lights. Shame there's hardly any mercury vapor or dome-lens lights anymore in their grid.
