Steve, thank you! I made a mistake early on while working on this piece, putting a very dark image in the lower right-hand corner, which I immediately realized didn't work. After carefully peeling it off, taking some of the page with it, I had to cover the damaged spot. The flowers not only did the trick, they made the entire piece better than I'd expected & suggested the duality of it. I wasted no time in emphasizing that duality! Another happy accident. :)
