Bielefeld - Kunsthalle Bielefeld

Bielefeld is with a population nearly 350.000 the most populous city in the eastern region of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Bielefeld is home to a number of internationally operating companies, including Dr. Oetker. It has a university and several technical colleges (Fachhochschulen).

Bielefeld is also known for the Bethel Institution and for the Kunsthalle Bielefeld, that opened in 1968.

The museum has an excellent collection of expressionistic art.
