Mora de Rubielos - Castillo de Mora de Rubielos

Mora de Rubielos is a small town (approx. 1600 inh.) about 60 km southeast of Teruel. Since 1978 the entire place has been a “Conjunto histórico-artístico”.
The original building of the castle, that towers over the village, is of Muslim origin. In 1171 the castle was conquered by Alfonso II. Since then, it has witnessed the ongoing fighting between the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon.
