Verneuil-en-Bourbonnais - Saint-Pierre

Today Verneuil is a small village with only about 250 inhabitants.
It was way more important in medieval times when it was one of the most important cities of the duchy of Bourbon, surrounded by ramparts. Duke Louis II of Bourbon had a castle here and St. Pierre, now the parish church, was the centre of a college of canons.
