Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille - Nahash Urban Brass Unit

Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is known by musicians as this is the place of the "Festival du Monastier" (aka "Festival de Cuivres"), a great meeting centered around "brass". 40 concerts - in 7 days!!

The "Nahash" in Nahash Urban Brass Unit (= NUBU) stands for the serpent, a symbol of creation, evil, tentation. But serpent is as well the name of the instrument played by the lady to the left. The serpent is a distant ancestor of the tuba, with a very specific sound.
