Spoleto - San Paolo inter vineas
A legend tells, that this was the site of a miracle. When an (heretical) Arian Lombard bishop hold a mass here, he was struck with sudden blindness. A Benedictian nunnery existed already within the 10th century, while the church of today was erected around 1230 and consecrated by Pope Gregory IX.

I had learned, that there were 13th-century-frescoes inside, but San Paolo inter vineas (= among the vineyards) was locked.

.... and seen under the dome of the Arian baptistery in Ravenna is Jesus, completely naked in the river Jordan!

In the some dark areas even in the 1950s kids believed that they would loose their eyesight, if they would see somebody naked. I was one of them....
