Rosnay-l'Hôpital - Notre-Dame

The erection of this church, once a collegiate church, started within the 12th century. Local traditions tell, that it got consecrated by Thomas Becket. The church got remodeled many times over the century. Most of the structure seen today goes back to a rebuilding process of the 16th century. For a village of about 200 inhabitants it is rather large.
Actually much more than 200 people could meet in the crypt of this church alone. Unfortunately the crypt was locked, but a window was a little open, so I could only take this photo.
