Aurora Impressions

My guest from Japan woke me up at 2:47 this morning shouting: "Jim, Jim, come look at the aurora, it is so very bright and dancing around all of the sky!!"
So sigh, I got up, grumbling, of course, put on a pot of coffee and went outside to watch the aurora display.
I plan to keep on grumbling and will keep complaining about being awakened in the middle of the night from a sound sleep and this is just between you and me & I know I can trust you not to tell my Japanese guest but it will well worth getting up to watch! The whole sky was dancing with color, curtains, patterns ever changing.
Here is my impression of that view. Watercolor on Canson's Bristol paper, 11 by 14 inches, colors digitally inverted: reds inverted to greens, yellow to blue, white to black.
